Design Your Life! is a place to practice authorship and self reflection. Think of it as a mini life-coaching session mixed with parallel play and guided journaling. If you’ve been uncertain about where to take your future and what direction you want to take your life, this is a space to face any limiting beliefs, rewrite your reality, and set clear intentions to guide your immediate future.

I first became interested in lifestyle design when I was pivoting from full-time to freelance work in 2020. Terrified at the thought of losing the identity I’d built and the stability I’d worked for, I began thinking of my life as a work of art and every new day as a way to design the elements that contribute to a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment.

Designing your life can also be thought of as designing your mind: gardening your neural pathways, pruning away the damage, and replanting ideas that expand your sense of possibilityβ€”while also attracting the specific projects, places, and people we’d be thrilled to work with. By taking the time to infuse specificity and direction into our lives, we generate hope and healing not just for ourselves but for everyone our lives touch. When we value ourselves, we show the world how to value us.

With the realities we face, we deserve a future that accurately reflects the creativity and potentiality of who we are. Design Your Life! provides step by step instructions through carefully curated exercises to map out an aligned direction for your future πŸ«§πŸ•ΊπŸ»

In this 3-hour virtual workshop (with body breaks throughout), you will be guided through a series of frameworks, visualizations, reflection prompts, writing exercises, creative thinking/digital exploration exercises, and optional group share / group work sessions. Please come ready to experiment, explore, and contribute to a positive, encouraging environment βœ§γ€‚β˜οΈŽβ‹†

A former dancer, a trained actor, and a multi-genre storyteller, Jezz Chung is a creative force whose vision influences an audience of creative thinkers around the world. Two teachings they live by come from Grace Lee Boggs (transform yourself to transform the world) and Maxine Hong Kingston (in a time of destruction, create something). Their book of poems and practices This Way to Change offers a guide to social change through personal reflection and their podcast Dreaming Different explores world-building through a neurodivergent lens. You can keep up with their work @jezzchung and jezzchung.substack.com.

A member of SAG-AFTRA and an alum of experimental theater company New York Neo-Futurists, Jezz has been invited to speak at Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Smith College, and creative communities around the world. Their writings have been published in Vogue, Them, i-D Magazine, and Washington Post, and they’ve been featured in publications across Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Their work often explores themes of Asian American femininity, neurodivergence, disability, queer friendship, transformative justice, and healing during times of collective crisis. Through all they do, Jezz hopes to create art that helps people feel less alone and more alive.
